Sorry, but I'm not sure, what you mean here: Zambro said: role models, Erik replied about roll models :undecide:
I'm lost a bit.

And such role/roll models in what meaning?
Role/roll models (I'm lost on the spelling too :D) are usually famous people who set an example for others (their fans, for example).

I can't be bothered reading up the page, so i'll just say whatever...

bad:

[*]doping
[*]fouls
[*]totti (cheating)
[*]swearing (dissent)
[*]off-pitch scandals

good:

[*]charity
[*]sportsmanship (swapping shirts, shaking hands etc.)
[*]encourage kids to play sports instead of being involved in crime, especially because many famous footballers are younger than 20.

If you involved Totti to bad things list, you should add him also to good thigns list, to be objective about him: to part about charity. He is one of those players, who participate in real charity, not only as celebrity to show himself.
He is a good guy in this.

The best Role Models are parents and teachers.

But that goes without saying.
Not necessarily... there's some pretty messed up parents and teachers out there.

I agree.

However, if your parents have tought you to be respectful, honest, loving, strong, and caring, and they exude those same qualities, then they are the ultimate role models. Same with teachers.

I just don't believe in having people that don't even know (or care) that you exist as a Role Model.

I know what you mean. That's the culture these days, though. Kids look up to celebrities and famous people more than their parents. This also applies to (no offence to half the people in this forum) those who are too in love with people who aren't aware of their existence. Respecting and even adoring footballers is fine, but ignoring the people around you so that you can marry them or try to be their friend is silly...
