Moved to the history section . Reminds me of AC milan fans when we signed Pirlo and he led us to glory after Milan turned him down for a contract renewal. Hopefully we dont look back at losing him and Marotta with regret.

I think most probably we won't regret it, not because they are incompetent (Marotta and Conte are some of the very best in the business) but its rather that we have very competent management still in place (unlike Milan in 2011) and our squad and financial stature is miles ahead of Inter that nothing short of a miraculous collapse should bridge it.

If they bring Inter back where it belongs, i.e. 2nd or 3rd spot and a CL regular that makes the occasional good run in Europe then that'd be a success.

Sarri not winning the league would be a failure, yes, unless he does the impossible and wins the CL.

The gap is still huge and it's not like Conte has Hazard, Kante, Willian or legends like Buffon, Pirlo and Chiellini at his disposal now.

The gap with us is big, but also their squad is competitive in Serie A, they still have a decent team not to lose to minnows. They will be a serious contender to the title.

I hope with season passing on, they pull an Inter of themselves again and Conte gets fired as early as February or finish a Lippi season at Inter at best.

I've given people advice on this topic in the past

People should start following synchronized diving or some other sport where style actually matters. There is only one stat that matters in football. Luck is when something happens by chance. Being great for prolonged period means that you're just really good at something.
