They have the better team, better coach, and better negotiators. I am not so confident
they have shit players like muntari and motta + an under performing eto and a constantly injured sneijder. A stankovic that had a good start then faded away and a full back that does not attack (chivu).

The difference is, they have a coach and character. We have neither.
They can overcome their weak points and we can't. Our weaknesses are highlighted every match and prove us costly while theirs are highlighted occasionally in big matches.

On Paper there is no much difference between the squads but on the pitch we are nothing close to them.

Hence, they are the better team because they perform as a unit, manage to overcome their weaknesses, and grind out results when necessary. They are ahead of us in the standings on merit, and even when they capitulate, we fail to take advantage of the situation. Football is not played on paper, so regardless of the quality of individuals, if you can't perform as a unit, you are screwed.

Even though the kid got a serious injury, I think we should still invest in him for next year. There is not reason why he can't be fully fit and ready to go aside from a knee injury. The good thing about this is that his value will go down and other teams will be less likely after him. Perhaps we can snatch Bonucci instead? Anyones thoughts on this? I wonder if its the kind of injury that will have long term affects to his performance...perhaps a chronic injury? My thoughts are that if his value drops enough that we could get him for peanuts the kid could make a hell of a comeback and would be a fucking great investment for us...daylight steal?

Just trying to look at the glass half full...you know me, optimistic:D

As I said in my post, both a good. I would try for Rannocchia, can't hurt anyways with all the injuries we get he will get another one eventually. Which one is better though? I like Big Ran's size...and im not talking about his height.

He is injured for a long term, so there is no reason to hurry - we have to operate with current deals and think about summer after transfer window will be closed.

Now is the time to buy. His stock must have gone down with the injury, lets get an agreement with Bari now before it starts to go back up....this is one guy I pray we land.

The next Nesta....
