I respect him for his career as a player, he had a phenomenal career. But in term of coaching he's not half as good as he was at his playing career. I can't wrap my head around that how he got appointed as Juve coach!

I think the main issue is his agent. Otherwise, he’s easily good enough to coach teams like Udinese, Empoli, Parma, and so on. His stint at Juve was, in my opinion, better than Motta’s and even Allegri’s second spell. After Juve, he should never have ended up at an average team in Turkey.

At Sampdoria, he even got them to the Serie A promotion playoffs, and the following year after they sacked him Samp basically got relegated to Serie C with almost the same squad. And now he’s in the second division of the UAE! That’s a huge failure on the agent’s part to find him a decent option I think.

Honestly, I don’t think he’s worse than someone like Gattuso, who’s now coaching the Italy national team. Or take Gilardino for example, what has he really proven to keep landing Serie A jobs?
