Best La Liga left back for 25m yeah right
I dont know how good/bad this player is but entire operation seems dodgy af. We are selling a player that until recently, that is until getting injured, was one of our best players and looking to replace him with a FB from Girona. Happy to be proven wrong and that a deal, if there will be a deal, will have a positive effect on the pitch.

Wouldn't really surprise me since Girona is pretty much City owned club.

Meh. Let's just face the fact that City is levels and billions above us.

At this point we're to re-build a big chunk of our squad. I don't fancy selling our better players (not recently) and getting a big bid should be taken into consideration. A smart club (not us?) would take that as an advantage with good scouting system.

Thats the issue. We keep downgrading with every sale. I do not trust our mgt would use the money wisely.

Yeah I totally get your point. I really like Cambiaso but I'd take the opportunity to strengthen the squad after his sale. Unfortunately our staff seems retarded but 65 million bid or more seems too good to be rejected imo. We could really use the cash since we have too many retards that we can't offload due to big contracts and wrong buys. But still, risk worth taking imo. Not sure if we have much money at our disposal unless we sell. I'd also try to offload Vlahovic while we're at it.

I really hoped Dusan would turn out better for us. A shame things didnt work out. Id sell him as well. I am bothered that our rivals are always 1 step ahead of us. They buy smart, sell well, improve their teams while we keep falling further back. We cant seem to get it right. Kinda similar to milaanese clubs over the last decade. And we did this to ourselves.

It took Milan quite a while to get at this stage. When they went on to rejuvenate the squad they were really horrible with their transfers iirc and it took them many years to get some smart moves. Inter played it out really smart ever since Marotta took over. But yeah, it's pretty astonishing how we fail to buy and sell despite changes within the squad. I know people don't think highly of Motta but I'd still defend him knowing how horrible our squad is. And yeah it might sound ridiculous but it took Klopp some time to settle with Liverpool too. Unfortunately I really expected a whole lot more of Guintoli. We spent a fortune on Luiz and Koop while both didn't impress. When we add Dusan on that list, it's just tons of cash that we wasted on key players that all fail to deliver. While Dusan being the best of those he's still heavily overpaid and I hope we get to earn some money and hope clubs would pay his insane wages. Truth be told, I don't think we can expect anything unless we sell. And I don't think majority of our squad is attractive at all. I'd hate losing Cambiaso but I'd try to get money and get us out of this shithole we got ourselves into.

Koop flopping sadly doesn't make sense, wasn't part of the script, it was supposed to be a match, the perfect player. I wasn't sold on bring Luiz, however we made it easier by getting rid of two shitty youngsters in the deal. Either way, on paper they were good or decent players, but we should have only bought one and bought in a decent Joe for the second. Then we should have strengthened other positions which were crying out for help.

Luiz was one of the best mid players in EPL and totally carrying Villa on his own for the whole season. After he left they started falling apart. He was a key player and I think some club would really benefit if they sign him now for a decent sum. For some odd reason I find us at fault for not being able to fit him in.

He has struggled with injuries and fatigue this season too we haven't seen him anywhere close to full fitness yet.

u sure? :euroconte:

danilo looked mostly shit this season but against city he was flawless. the experience is still there. i guess he never got his relationship going with motta. watch him to be useful for napoli (or wherever he ends up)
Yes, that was exactly the one and only good game he played in half a season. He's exposed because of our high defensive line. I believe he can do well for Napoli but we shouldn't care much about that at all. That is a small club mentality; asking more when Juve comes knocking, putting anti-Italian clauses etc...

more reason i believe motta is the problem here. so many players are struggling. it has to be on the coach.

Romano just said Cambiaso does not want to leave. It this is true, then It's another case of Giuntoli pushing the players to leave the club, so he can buy new Koopmeiners!!
He doesn't seem intent on leaving, It's the club that trying to push him out for finance advantage.
This entire saga just seems ridiculous for us regardless what he will turn for his new club.
