there's nothing new in it, beppe didn't have to teach tici anything. a similar investigation was already launched in the beginning of the '00s, and no club was fined. it's really common practice. the only serie a club that actually fucked it so bad that managed to get fined was chievo who got a 3-point penalty and a fine of 200k €.

btw these deals that you mentioned were already checked back then when chievo (+ inda, milan, cesena, etc) were investigated, and juve didn't even risk an investigation back then.

Romagna was highly rated, a 20 y/o Italian under 21 defender and captain of Italy under 19. I remember people thinking he'd become a regular at Cagliari then come back. No way would he be sold for 1m. Cassata was also highly rated at the time and featured at various youth levels for Italy.
