49ers are interested in Andrew Norwell.

Man, if they can get him and put him on the left side of that line, it would be great. A 26 year old All Pro guard.

Kurt Warner talking about Jimmy G is giving me a bit of a woody

That would be a huge addition, we need that line help.

When I think about the 9ers losing those 5 early games by a total of 13 points (NFL record), and then winning those last 5, the way last year's rookie class played, the cap space, the quality draft picks upcoming, Jimmy with a full playbook, and our management's great decision making so far...

Just crazy how much better things are looking than they were a year ago. A bit surreal, almost. Can't wait for the draft/season!

Norwell signed with Jacksonville.

The one player that I really wanted out of this free agency period. Time to look for other alternatives at guard. BRB.

Anyway, for WR, I'm intrigued by Paul Richardson and Donte Moncrief. i think they can be signed for lesser deals.

Justin Pugh could be a nice option at guard, assuming that he is healthy.

With all this cap space, the Sherman signing cannot be the only move they make. I am patient, though, and trust Lynch and Shanahan.

Damn,McKinon is a beast. That Garoppolo effect
I'm happy with the signing. He is a physical freak of nature in measurables at his size, and he's very dynamic.

I have heard rumors that the Eagles and Niners might be working on a trade for Mychal Kendricks.

Hope that can turn into a win-win :D

I don’t think kendricks is an important part of the team so have fun with him

Good player, dynamic, but I have my doubts about McKinnon being a #1 back. Hope he proves me wrong!

That money is pretty ridiculous, 7.5M is like 4th highest in the league for a RB. Kind of doubt he'll see most of it.

Definitely need another RB addition with a bit more size and power, for short yardage. Matt Breida isn't exactly that guy.

There were at least 3 other teams in on him, and that drove the price up. Perfect fit for this offense.

Hyde can't catch and he can't block.

Meanwhile, Mckinnon graded out 7th and 8th in pass receiving and pass grading blocking, respectively.

And he runs a 4.35 40
Yeah exactly, this is the type of back Shanny wants
Dynamic, shifty and can catch

I wonder if we will add a bigger body to the running back room as well

Absolutely, he's a great system fit, and Shanny will move him all over the field. Don't get me wrong, he's a good addition -- just at a potentially elite price point. Looking forward to the details/structure of that contract.

I don't mind the deals where we overpay a bit now, and have flexibility moving forward -- got the cap space, and I'm ready to see some wins right now. He'll definitely help the team.

Little bit harsh. Carlos did catch 59 balls last year, but I'm thinking Mckinnon could have 70+ receptions.

I still think they'll grab another back in the draft. Will also be interesting to see what Joe Williams looks like; think management was pretty high on him, and he's slightly bigger than Mckinnon, though not much.
