Aquilani is great player, with great potential, even now. He could be a great asset for a team, but i doubt that he will remain injury free. Therefore, i believe Marchisio will be the starter.
With transer, the riddance of Poulsen makes perfect sense. The buy out clause is pretty decent as well and we take no risks, as we are not obligated to invest if the player doesnt deliver.
A great transfer overall! And with Krasic the puzzle of our midfield is sold. Now we have to focus on a foreign LB and complete our squad with a top finisher, a serious coach, next year and we may become relatively competitive again...

I hope that Aquilani will show the ambition to return, earn a starter position and possibly a place in the NT, through that!

We've been craving a creative central midfielder for 4 years now. So if this transfer goes ahead it will help with a LOT of our creativity issues, aqua is a brilliant player and will give us that dimension that we are missing.

Having said that i have serious worries about his fitness and injury record, especially with our medical teams reputation.... if he can stay fit i think he'll be one of our best players this season, and more importantly he'll free up diego, giving him the chance to show off his unquestionable talents.

Wow, Krasic and Aquillani in a matter of days. Well done Bepe, well done.
And this two days after I said people should stop bitching and wait for the end of the transfer window.

I understand that, being a fan and all, you want the best for your team. But the incessant whining can really get to me.

Is this official or purely speculation?
Medical on Monday.

The ease with which this is happening is rather surprising. A year and a half ago Aquilani was probably right up there with De Rossi and Totti and it looked like he would never even consider playing for Juventus.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Aquilani is a big signing too. I would expect transfer talks to go on for several weeks or even months before signing him.

out of all of them tho Aquilani was always the one that would leave and he had always been linked to us

and if Moggi pulled his head out of his ass we would of already had Aquilani and De Rossi
