Nigeria have Austin Okocha in the starting line-up for the first time at the tournament and for his final international. He replaces John Obi Mikel in the heart of midfield. Suspended Joseph Enakarhire is replaced by Obinna Nwaneri while Garba Lawal and John Utaka start in place of Sani Keita and Peter Odemwingie from the semifinal defeat by Cote d'Ivoire.
