i think that in early juventus days, when juve was not the huge club it is now,an old lady was going every day to the trainings and she was supporting crazily juventus(like we do now :D )

so,we kept this "old lady" because of her :)

The most plausible theory is that the name comes from rival fans, as a sort of critisism of the club atmosphere which was very elite at the time.

There is an explenation:
-Italian say la squadra (team is feminine) which you heard as for example La Roma----that is for lady .

-Juve is an example of truly traditional team, you know the story about the year 1897...
.....and the possession by the Agneli family (aristocratic Family)------that is for old

Theres only one real answer and that is the most straightforward of all the supposed reasons...

The actual reason is that Juve are the oldest of the seven sisters...

Its as simple as that
And who's the seventh sister????
1-Juventus
2-Milan
3-inter
4-Roma
5-Lazio
6-Parma

(sei sorelle)

7-???

yes....
In our china we often call it like that...
even was called in some sports news on TV...

in china we think that the words "old lady"means a team which is most reliable and safely . never make mistake.....
we did a stable way, which terrified our opponents

its cuz about the color that Juve got it by mistake from Newcastle. after juve took a black and white color as an official shirt for the club. they did call it zebra and as long as zebra is a feminine so they did call juve old lady for the terms of victories since 1905.
