There's this site called Jinni that sort of works like Pandora does for music. You can rate movies you've previously seen and indicate what movies you're likely to see or not likely to see. Then you get movie suggestions based on your taste.

I think the site is pretty new and needs a face lift but I like the concept.

Anyway, you guys should sign up and start creating your profile. They have a feature that lets you add friends so you can see what type of movies they watch, their ratings, recommendations, etc. Post your username on here so we can add each other.

got my acc sorted - ja5per. I will add you two when i work out how.

You have to post a link to your public profile to 'follow' people apparently. A really stupid way of doing it but...I added you two so it should tell you who i am.

I kind of use Amazon for that purpose. Still, worthwhile idea. Anyone use both? How do they compare? (Obviously, this would be better after you've used both for a bit.)

I assume they have it to recommend movies for rent as does Netflix but Jinni doesn't offer anything to rent/view.

Nice, I never used such sites tbh.

    I'm there, Dooz.
    Is it http://www.jinni.com/user/Dooz/public ?

I don't think they allow you to rate porn movies dude.
    Let alone gay porn.

Well, to buy, yes. I'm not sure the difference is all that important - if anything, Amazon has a stronger incentive to recommend stuff I'll buy.

Guys Netflix makes movie recommendations based on what you rent and what you say you like and what you don't like. It's a pay service though, so it isn't free like Pandora.
