    Juventus Transfers (2007-2008) [Discussion thread]

It is quite scary to know that the board may actually be thinking of starting Grygera, Boumsong or Legrottaglie at CB for Serie A next season. This is very scary considering we will have a non-combative or ball winning midfield.

Exactly. A lot of people think it is ok to have primavera players as reserves, but it is clearly a huge liability. Unless we can get a decent chunk of money for players like Zalayeta and Birindelli, we should keep them as reserves and practice players.

Well that is it for me... too bad it had to end on a low note.

No you just totaly over-elaborated on a point I was making that was miniscule in the first place. Since I know you are incapable of letting things go... I won't ask.

I am really hoping to see Criscito and especially Nocerino in the starting 11. I think Nocerino could start now as a DM.

I think you totally over emphasised my point for the sake of adding merit to your argument. Nevermind. Cannavaro only played for us for two years. He doesn't and didn't owe us anything. The separation was mutual and we would love to have him back. Get over it.

Why wouldn't he have joined us when we were so close to signing him? Because Real swept into the mix. It isn't a big deal it is just a point. There are very few players who stay loyal to teams. Forgive and forget. The guy is the best defender in the world.

Here we go again. And Milito was supposed to sign for us but then said, oh wait Real want me too hold on. Big deal either way. The fact of the matter is the guy is a winner and would win with us again. Get over it. Women hold grudges.

I think that is exactly where he will get us. Back to the CL and we may win a Cup or Two. I hope we are more ambitious than that.

I think a lot of people on here like to be optimistic. I hope Ranieri is the guy, but people are what they are and they get what they earn. Ranieri is what he is. I guess everyone here, hopes he can be more.

I have only seen Pepe play in Champions League, where he got totally exploited. How is that not enough info? The bolded part explains a lot about you. And yes I would prefer a 33 year old Captain of the WC winning squad, the leader of Juventus the year prior and the defensive captain of a...

Juventus is not Fiorentina or Parma. We are a world power. Well, we need to be one again... do you really think that Ranieri is the guy?

He built up Valencia, but couldn't win. He handed the reigns to Benitez who won the double. He built up Chelsea, but couldn't win the big one, he hands the reigns to Mourinho and he takes them to two titles. He underachieved at Valencia in his second stint, he underachieved in Fiorentina...

As for Ranieri I guess I will put it this way... If he is here to groom the talent of Nocerino, Criscito, Chiellini and Palladino, than he is the right man for the job. We will see if he plays them then. However, Juventus may think he will win the scudetto for us. In that case we will not...
