Take it from my experience of following the Portuguese NT and their youth squad NT. What looks good on paper isn't always what it seems. What might seem like a good option to seek the youth squad's successes over the senior team is not only near-sighted, but it's also delusional. :sick...

This Portugal youth squad is the platinum generation in terms of talent, and it's the shit-in-a-coffee-can generation in terms of performance. Oh my god... their match-up against Chile was something I expected to be a slaughter. So maybe the scoreline was only 1-0 instead of 3-0, but Portugal...

:lol2: Oh man, each time I think that the Portugal youth squad could not underachieve any more under Couceiro, they prove me wrong!

Now there's the Portuguese youth squad we all know and love under Couceiro. :rolleyes: Finally got to see some trademark poor finishing and the occasional sloppy D. All is right with the world again. :(

Yeah, but given the past year of big competitions, odds are that the underachivement implosion is just right around the corner for Portugal. :(

I'm looking forward to him playing in the U-20 World Cup in Canada this week. Hopefully his teammates are less jokers than the U-21 squad is.
