I stumbled across this wonderful song the other day: Leonard Cohen and U2, Tower of Song. I don't really know Cohen, so maybe everything he sings is this awesome but I haven't been struck by a male voice like that since I first heard Rod Steward.

I came across here when someone pointed out her Iain M. Banks tribute The Chairmaker (refers to a powerful image from his novel Use of Weapons). It doesn't seem to be available on that site any more though.
Moby - Anthem. Far better than I remembered. Used in Miami Vice recently.
