I dont think he had a necessarily bad game. I think he suffers like most other players, under our lacking tactics and roles in the team. Our midfield should not be that shitty. It is probably still the best midfield in Serie A on paper.

How well did he string it together today?

One thing is certain, if Pjanic plays like he doesn't give a fuck, then it is because of his teammates. That we have heard for a while now.

I think he needs to train harder, not rest. He should be benched now and then fight his way back in the team like his teammates. He has been untouchable for too long. He doesn't seem the type who is super self-motivated.

Ive said it since last season that this guy is so limited and hugely overrated (and overpaid), and people were laughing. Happy to see people realize that he doesn't do enough and isn't benefitting our play.

So what is the more logical answer? If he didn't score in Real, and if he isn't performing better than Pjanic and Dybala in training. Why does he take them then? Why does Allegri allow him.

Pjanic and Dybala definitely had some amazing FK statistics going for them. I think Ronaldo is consistently better in training, since he takes them, but simply hasnt been sharp so far in the games. I also think that Pjanic or Dybala would have converted some FKs if Ronaldo had not 'disturbed' them.

I highly doubt there ever was a serious tiredness issue and that we will see a difference. The other players have 5 days rest as well. But let's hope.
