Is it just me or he looked slow as f*ck out there? He struggled to reach a ball that barely had any pace on it near the end. It looked like he was running in slow motion.

lol yeah, not his first in about 3 years.

He’s still the most useless “forward” in the team. He gets minutes because he can run and because there are simply no alternatives.

Good goal for confidence I guess. Doesn’t change much though.

Just terminate his contract. He does more harm in the few minutes he's on the pitch than if we had just played with 10-men for those minutes.

He has regressed spectacularly. Mentally, he simply doesn’t belong to this level. The sooner we let him out of his misery, the better.

His wages aren’t that crazy if he has suitors in the EPL. The best players at midtable clubs like Everton, Newcastle, etc earn around that figure I believe.

He hasn't been that since 2017-18...although still several echelons ahead of anything we have in midfield.

He doesn’t have the required mental fortitude to succeed at this level. This combined with his limited ability results in the painful performances we see out on the pitch every week.

Should go join a rock band or something. He isn’t cut out to play this sport called football.

His last goal was away at Frosinone back in Sept '18 if i recall correctly, during a period he was on a purple patch of form. Truly the italian Lingard.

Still not good enough for Juve in my eyes but I guess he's serviceable enough against minnows like Genoa, Lecce & Bologna. We can afford to start him to tire the opposition out before bringing Costa on to get the real job done. Shouldn't be starting big games though.

Maybe not RB because he’s such a lefty but the FB position in general seems to be the only part of the field he could probably be of use to a top side. At least back there he wouldn’t get in the way as much with his lacklustre play and decision making.

lol amazing how a player at a top club can play behind the strikers and not register a solitary goal or assist.

He looked like Bambi on ice out there today and I usually use that to describe Matuidi. Was constantly off balance or falling to the floor when in possession. Had no control of his own torso nevermind legs to control the ball.

I think Sarri is trying to play him into form...

I'd even have Ozil in his current unmotivated, semi-retired state over Berna behind the strikers. He's lazy and disappears but at least you know you'll get good vision, fluidity and creativity from him there.

Going from Douglas Costa to this guy is such a huge downgrade so far this game.
