Thats what im wondering. Hes going to be in the same situation he was at Inter. What was the big idea in switching, unless of course Galliani has told him something about Gila's arrival, or maybe the lack of it.
Tomasson is on his way out. Inzaghi is even worse than Trezeguet when it comes to injuries, so that just leaves a trident of Shevchenko Vieri and Kaka. Compare that with Trezeguet, Zlatan and Mutu/Cassano. Id say we've got the edge.
Vieri is a one year solution, if Trez is sold. I know he'd do well at Juve if hes playing infront of Cassano and Mutu. But given his age, i think we'll be in the market again next year for a replacement. Pretty pointless deal to me.
But then that again negates the whole idea, given that most of Trez's sale dosh will be used to get Gila, who has just as high a price tag. So its rather compliated on that front as well.
More than that, its just that he doesnt have much left on his time in a highly competitive Serie A league. Whats the point in assigning one of the most delicate positions on the pitch to someone 5 years older and slower than our current option?
Enough said. Vieri cannot be our go to guy. He just cant, it doesnt fit. He doesnt have more than one season in him. It'll be a mistake to sell Trez if Vieri is the replacement.
