Dunno about that, I think the Italian players are certainly much more tolerable than their English counterparts but the Media is just as stupid. They haven't been as arrogant recently but nobody really expected much from Italy this time around.

I'm just saying that in my opinion Quagliarella was not offside. Italy fully deserved to go out though they were terrible at this World Cup.

Even one of the Italian hating ESPN commentators admitted that one of Slovakia's defenders left his foot back which played Quagliarella onside. I understand why the goal was called off it looked offside but if you pause right when Di Natale passes the ball Quagliarella is level.

Watching the replay you can see that Quagliarella's goal was not offside. They didn't deserve to go through anyway, they should be happy to leave before getting raped by Holland.

Lippi is to old fashioned and his style doesn't seem to work anymore, he should retire completely from managing after the world cup is over.

Would love to see Italy pull it off but they won't. One of the South American teams will win it.

I have to disagree, this may be a lame Italy side but even far better ones frequently choked in friendlies. You can't judge how an Italian team will perform when necessary off of matches like this.
