There are arguments against this. You could easily be a politician who’s ideologically driven. There are diehard environmentalists who will push their agenda within politics. Besides that it would be naive to think that we have lobbyist for all kinds of things but not for this. There are...

I really can’t speak for your part of the world. Here there’s a more right oriented program everyday between 8 and 10 (when everyone is working), after diner there are two consecutive left oriented programs. It’s been a topic of discussion.

Honestly it’s very much the opposite. Very little room for different voices. If I look to themes that dominated the political debate last years; Covid, LGBTQ and climate there was little room for people going against measurements. If you see someone going against it you usually get the rhetorics...

Isn’t this very debatable, warming went very fast after the Younger Dryas. On local levels such as Greenland up to 10 degrees celcius in a decade, although the northern hemisphere was effected a lot more by warming than the southern hemisphere.

Some of those projects are really amazing. I’ve been following The Ocean Cleanup since the early days, the plastic soups in the ocean are horrible. The one in the Great Ocean is bigger than France. I mean can you imagine that, a plastic soup bigger than France. Reforestation projects are...

Climate is changing like it has always changed. How much human activity influences the change remains up to discussion if you ask me, or better asked are al those billions we throw at it worth it. Looking to everything very black and white; would it be better for our health and environment if we...

Its obviously doesn’t have to be or/or, but since one of the main questions whenever you put a political decision up to debate is ‘where do we get the money from’ I kinda took the stance of putting more money into problem B instead of A.

Than in my opinion it’s really fair to question if the priorities are right. How much is your village prepared for a few consecutive storms, and should we allocate more money to reinforcing stuff instead of lowering emissions.

With seawater there’s a multidecade plan until 2050 to reinforce the dikes, which obviously is an ongoing proces. This country has learned his lessons in the past. My house for example is 4 meters below sealevel. With rivers, lakes and other things regarding water you really see how...

Against the sea, yes im confident that we (and surrounding countries) are okay. Against the rivers I’m doubtful, every year you see how fragile everything is, yet I don’t hear politicians enough about it.

Read again, I’m not debating wether climate change is real or not. 1704392046 Translate this article for example: https://nos.nl/liveblog/2503710-zandzakken-in-leerdam-en-durgerdam-dassenburcht-in-de-maas-verwijderd Why the hell are politicians occupied with our carbon footprint while a simple...

After a lot of rain and storms there are many problems on local levels in Europe with water. Streets flooded and stuff. This is where I get suspicious with the climate change debate. I don’t see why we are lowering our carbon footprint, using a tax on plastic, but somehow are ignoring quite...

Same problem here. I checked it last week when I couldn’t use my car; I’d save €1 by traveling with public transport and it would cost me 1 hour extra travel time per day, while it’s only a 25min drive.
