It is not functioning at all. We have an absolutely terrible Public debt/GDP ratio and we're only able to pay our social programs because of the equalization check (8 billion CSD) we receive annually from Alberta(richest province). We're going to be the poorest province in the country in 20...

With wealth creation and very high taxes don't help that. I wouldn't trust the government to spend my money better than myself in any case and this is why I believe that big governments don't work. With socialism, individuals don't have a lot of personal responsibilities, which makes them weak...
