I made this to explain my point. The one to the right is the actual shirt whereas I think Juve approved of the one to the left. It's hard to say where it went wrong..

Adidas should probably have known that Juve had a chest sponsor and made a design that dealt with that. They should have added a single horizontal black stripe and told Jeep / whoever delivers the Jeep logo to make the Jeep sticker ALL WHITE because they already took into account how it should...

Even more horrible. The problem is not the box. The problem is how the two blacks overlap. The black jeep sticker box should not be a sticker, it should have been a part of the shirt design. The black box should have been dyed cloth and not a plastic sticker.

I won't discuss this here since it will take a lot of theory to explain. Gestalt, color theory and general aesthetics. If you don't like the new shirt, fine. Don't buy it.

As a designer myself I can only think of one reason for limiting the stripes. The positioning of logos, badges and crests. We are likely to have a whole bunch of extra badges added to the one Cuadrado is wearing there. Simplifying is the way forward. Gone are the Kappa days of maximalism and...

As a designer I can only welcome this. Current shirts with bernadeschi looks horrible, as the design does not take long names into account. A design with a full white back will. If our home kit is mainly white, I expect the away kit mostly black.
