IMO Ferdinand is a good defender. He may not be as good as Nesta but he's still a good player in my view.

That's one of the many beauties of Essien. He's currently one of the best defensive midfielders in Europe and can comfortably revert to centre back. If we're going to play two DMs again next season, whether it be in a 4-4-2, 4-3-3, 3-4-3 or whatever, I hope we get Essien.

Yeah, Essien is a lot better than Giannichedda. If Capello is going to continue playing with two defensive midfielders the Lyon man would be an excellent acquisition.

Maicon played a blinder against Monaco and would imo be a very good purchase especially if we change formation and use something with a back three. He's perfect for the wide midfield role in a 3-4-3 because he plays as a full back in a four man defence but is an extremely attacking player. I...
