We have a chance, though slim, if they just decide to defend the 2-0. We have good free kick takers (if Ronaldo ends his obsession), and two tall guys in the box. But I think Simeone is smarter than that.

I'm also excited, but hopeful? not really.

This is both wrong, and meaningless. It's wrong because we conceded 3 goals against Atalanta and 3 against Parma from open play. They possibly meant in the CL and considered penalties against Young Boys and Madrid last season as set plays, but counting a stat from last year is nonsense...

It's also keeping a clean sheet. That's the part I'm concerned most.

Messi passing back to Szczney from middle of the opposition half when getting into trouble will be great to watch.

I like your confidence, but I'd give us a 10% chance tops.

It's lovely people talking about themselves in plural form isn't it?

Max: “The second half was ugly, as we made the mistake of following their lead. Atleti are very good at letting a game go by without a shot on goal. “We had already run a risk on a counter from a ball we gave away, but we didn’t have a shot on target in the second half. Atleti came out much...

These are standard responses though. I don't expect them to say "coach told us to slowly pass it around in the midfield against an organized Atleti team. We just executed a shit plan to perfection"

Why do you wanna know, really? You'll respond with a one-liner anyway.

What? No I didn't. You whined for past month to set the expectation low for yourself so that you won't get disappointed. I did not, and will not do that.

No. I never understand whiny users like you. It's OK to be disappointed, but you are annoyingly pessimistic.

Max wanted to keep the game tight. But honestly even starting him with this defensive slow game plan wouldn't have made a difference.

That's nothing new. But he was way too conservative with it too. Back pass to Szczney from midfield is not what you usually see with him.
