Very true. I feel I should do something to know more languages. I've forgotten most of the French I learned in school and while I can just about understand articles written in Italian or Spanish, I couldn't come close to speaking them.

It's pretty tough reading. Some of it is interesting, though, primarily how his political views developed when he was staying in Vienna and Munich.

Starting reading 'Mein Kampf' yesterday, which is written by a charming and little known author called Herr Hitler. Quite interesting so far, but difficult to follow unless you have a good knowledge of the German and Austrian Empires at various points in history.

Excellent book that. Just finished John Foot's 'Calcio: A History of Italian Football' which is also good. Only downside is that he is an Inter fan and it is somewhat biased in places.

The Italian Job by Gianluca Vialli and Gabriele Marcotti. Certainly worth reading to better understand the views of Serie A and EPL fans and why the teams in the leagues play the way they do.

Pitch Invasion: Adidas, Puma and the Making of Modern Sport by Barbara Smit. Interesting read. Shows just how much power the big companies have when it comes to influencing sport.
