[Supercoppa Italiana] JUVENTUS 4-0 Lazio (August 18th, 2013)

Juventus have won their appeal against how the Italian Super Cup prize money will be shared out with Lazio. The Lega Serie A decided to give the capital giants the bigger share of the €2.4m fund given that the game had to be played in Italy. The tie could have been staged in Beijing, China...

[Supercoppa Italiana] JUVENTUS 4-0 Lazio (August 18th, 2013)

Any vidoes/photos floating around of the Curva Sud pre-match? Haven't see what (if anything) Juve did.

Nah, think that was Petkovic. Haven't seen anything from Lotitio or Tare.

[Supercoppa Italiana] JUVENTUS 4-0 Lazio (August 18th, 2013)

Think that had more to do with Lazio trying to open up and attack a bit, so it left more space between defence and midfield and made it a lot easier for the Juve forwards. Anyway, my comment wasn't really meant to be much of a criticism - more highlighting that Juve are capable of doing a lot...

Should say, that adjustment was only really when Juve were trying to attack, so as to guard against counters. When Lazio had comfortable possession, Juve just fell back into a pretty typical 5-3-1-1 shape.

[Supercoppa Italiana] JUVENTUS 4-0 Lazio (August 18th, 2013)

Well, that may not have had much of the brilliant attacking play one would typically associate with a 4-0 win, but it was an impressively muscular and clinical performance from Juve. Conte made a little adjustment to the 3-5-2 - with Asamoah playing almost as an orthodox left-back and the three...

[Supercoppa Italiana] JUVENTUS 4-0 Lazio (August 18th, 2013)

What direction are you arriving from? I like to basically wander up from the Vatican (Ottaviano metro station is near the Vatican and on the way to the stadium). It's just about a twenty minute walk from there to the stadium. I'd aim to be in the ground about an hour before kickoff. Wouldn't...

Haven't been in the Monte Mario, but been in the other three sides. You hear all this fuss about the running track, but it just isn't an issue when you are there, I don't think. It's fine as long as you are reasonably high up, and I think you are. The only time I haven't had a good view was...

[Supercoppa Italiana] JUVENTUS 4-0 Lazio (August 18th, 2013)

I know. The lack of formal agreement has just made this whole thing a mess. Lotito has certainly done very well for himself out of it all, one way or another.

As compensation for Juve refusing to play it in Beijing, which would have been even more lucrative.

That's just not true. Juventuz has a thriving gay community, so they still would have accepted you.

Exactly. I believe there ought to be in future to prevent the sort of mess there has been this summer. - - - Updated - - - Where would you suggest? This one could only have been in Milan, and there wouldn't have been as big a crowd in all probability. I'd rather see one of the teams at...

[Supercoppa Italiana] JUVENTUS 4-0 Lazio (August 18th, 2013)

The way things have gone in the build-up to this game should really prompt a review of the organisation of the Supercoppa. If the FIGC/Lega wanted this game played in Beijing to market Italian football, Juve shouldn't have been able to pull out of that in order to line their own pockets by...
