Yeah, Lewandowski's great. You don't get many players who really understand how to lead the line and are who also able to score a lot of goals.

Yeah, in some ways. Iaquinta and Mandzukic have quite a lot in common in terms of their ability to harrass defenders and move well to open up space for others to take advantage of.

Vucinic's style is nothing like Lewandowski's these days. He's become much more static and focused on getting between the lines to link the play. I'd see Lewandowski as being more akin to a better version of Mandzukic.

    Nonsense. Trezeguet is still playing.

I miss Poulsen. Enjoyed watching him for Ajax against PSV at the weekend.

Meh. Pointless goals of no value, as so many of Gomez's goals are. - - - Updated - - - http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2013/apr/16/bundesliga-bayern-munich-borussia-dortmund

    [GER] Bundesliga 2012/2013

That may be partly true, but I thought Dortmund did a pretty good job of looking poor by themselves. Didn't really understand their tactics of going with three in midfield and just sitting off Bayern most of the time, but still holding a high enough line to allow Bayern space to get in behind...

I'd quite like Bayern to win the treble this season so all Guardiola can do is fail. :D

Rather a lot of teams would have looked devastating playing against Frankfurt's suicidal offside trap.

Goals are of no value to me (as a neutral) if the defending drops below a certain standard.

I don't find the SPL entertaining. I only watch it because of having the burden of caring about Aberdeen. I can go one year to the next without watching a single SPL game that doesn't involve Aberdeen.

Decided after it went 4-3 that the game was too stupid and stopped watching.

I wouldn't go assuming that Guardiola will be going there to try and create a copy of his Barca team. And even if he did, who says he'd try to recreate the more recent version with Messi as CF? Maybe he'd go back to the much more entertaining style - with Eto'o the normal CF - they were using...

Where has the 17m figure come from? The Catalan will be the best paid manager in the history of the club. If reports about a separate sponsorship deal for him by Bayern's kit supplier and 9% share owner Adidas are correct, his package is likely to be €8m-10m per year...

Hope he doesn't ruin them. Want their good players to continue to have the freedom to do interesting things and not be limited to playing a brand of football that bores me to tears.
