Yeah, there were times in the game where I thought he was reaching the balls that I expect Nadal, Dojokovic and Murray to get, but that no-one else tends to with any sort of frequency. Federer has always been a positive player, but I don't think he tended to be quite as determined to keep...

Was interesting to see Federer playing so aggressively and going to the net so often to keep the points short. Probably how he needs to play to have a chance in five-set matches against the younger guys. Could have been a really interesting match if Murray had been fully fit and sharp, but...

Thought Murray was solid - occasionally very good - while Djokovic was pretty poor. I didn't understand Djokovic changing away from his normal gameplan to such a great extent. All those drop shots and trying to get to the net aren't the normal Djokovic way. Does he really not think he can...

Ah, fair enough. They certainly seem to punch above their weight when it comes to producing sporting talent.

Yet another? What other sports do they 'dominate' in?

I don't like Murray's tactics. He is too negative. This is okay against poor players, because they will make plenty unforced errors, so just waiting for them to make a mistake is an okay option. When playing against top players, though, he needs to up his game and actually beat them; not wait...

He didn't even have to be at his best to win today. There are certainly great players about. I just wish that more of them would go to the net more often to mix things up, rather than endless baseline power hitting.

Stopped for bad light after ten hours of play. :D I watched about two hours of it. Shit game, but quite something.

    I don't like Federer; I think he's a smug bastard, but he's a wonderful player.

Murray just didn't get enough first serves in. Other than that, he played okay, but okay ain't enough to beat Federer in a grand slam.

Murray has a winning record against Federer, but Federer always wins when they meet at grand slams. Should be an interesting game.

I know, but that doesn't prove he knows about tennis. By your logic, being President of Juve means he knows about football.

Is there any evidence he knows anything about tennis?

Anyone been watching the Australian Open? Pretty dominant display from Murray tonight to get through to the QF. His gameplan was spot on to take on a guy who is 6ft 9 and has little other than a big serve. He'll probably play Nadal in the quarters.

Second set to Del Potro. Let's see what Federer is made of.

The standard right now is brilliant. Del Potro has got his act together and Federer has upped his game.

Del Potro is making a comeback just now, though. Second set heading for a tie-breaker.

Anyone watching Federer v Hewitt? One set all and on serve in the third. Good match so far.
