I disagree. Same with Chiellini. His passing may be rubbish, but he won't do anything stupid; he just safely hoofs it out of play.

I wouldn't include Poulsen in that list.

But Juve didn't exactly attack very often in the second half, so it was primarily 4-4-1-1.

He is certainly better in the middle, but with Sissoko and Melo in the middle, there are times when Marchisio needs to play a bit wider and be sacrificed somewhat for the good of the team.

It started like that. Most of the second half was more like: Manninger Zebina-Legrottaglie-Cannavaro-Grosso Camoranesi-Poulsen-Marchisio-Candreva Diego Trezeguet/Iaquinta Marchisio has so many good aspects to his game, but what has really been impressing me lately has been...

Yeah. He came on for the last 20 mins or so. He wasn't really involved.

Their passing will only get worse in the second game because both their central midfielders with decent passing (Murphy and Greening) are suspended for the second game. That increases the chances of Fulham missing out the midfield and just playing long ball a lot of the time.

Pretty solid display. Always in control after the first goal and were able to take the foot off the pedal for most of the second half. The possession play is getting much better, though the passing is too slow, so it isn't really likely to hurt the opposition. Very good display from Zebina...

Arguably, Juve aren't as good as Shakhtar at the moment.

Good point. Juve haven't lost to Cagliari, Bari, Catania and Chievo this season and Fulham haven't just beaten Shakhtar Donetsk, so there really is no need to worry about them. Oh, wait...

Watch out for the guy Smalling, as well. I don't know anything much about him, but Man Utd have bought him for about £11m, so he must have something going for him.

Other than the players mentioned, they also have Brede Hangeland. He's a very good, big, dominant CB and I was surprised a big club didn't make a move for him last summer.

Murphy not playing is a big deal for them. He is their main man in midfield and everything goes through him. Without him, they will lack composure and the ability to keep possession. Hopefully Poulsen is fit enough to step in and play in Melo's place.
