    1. How many times have you 'had it with Ranieri'? 2. I thought we were never title contenders with Ranieri in charge?

To me our form means this was a good result, you seem to take the exact opposite opinion. And we were exhausted as well, but yes, Giovinco should have come on. Odds are we wouldn't have scored again, though.

Which would have created space for Beckham to get in crosses.

Laugh all you want, but without Marchionni, who at least keeps the shape of our midfield, our left side would have been horribly exposed.

When is a draw away to Milan ever a bad result?

It was Legro on this occasion. He moved out of position and then played a terrible pass to Camoranesi.

Call me a loser, a Ranieri lover, an accepter of mediocrity, but I am well chuffed with the result and the performance. Given how we have played recently, we couldn't have hope for better. And how long is it since Milan last beat us? Four years or so?

As much as I would have liked to see Giovinco, I don't think it was practical on this occasion. Marchionni was needed to help defend against Flamini as Giovinco would have virtually left De Ceglie alone against Beckham and Flamini.

Good game, good performance. We defended well and looked reasonably dangerous on the break. My only complaint would be that Giovinco wasn't brought on for Giovinco when Milan went down to ten men. Milan should have had a penalty and I though Favalli's red was harsh. :tup...

The reason Giovinco isn't playing is likely to be De Ceglie. He will need help beause of his defensive weaknesses and Marchionni can do that better than Giovinco. I expect Marchionni to do nothing as an attacking force, but I support Ranieri's decision to start him in this instance.

Teams looks fine to me, except Iaquinta instead of Del Piero. Even that is okay if we have a game plan to get high balls into Milan's box to put pressure on them.

That teams looks okay to me. Our left side would look very vulnerable if it was De Ceglie and Giovinco playing together.
