If enough fuss is made about coverage not being given by the BBC (read the UK government), the aid agencies could end up getting more attention than they otherwise would. I would think a lot of the newspapers will have run this story.

So it is just a case of Egyption government protecting it's own interests then? Doing enough to satisfy the US, while trying not to piss off it's own people (and much of the rest of the region?) too much.

Hard to say anything when there is no information, but surely they would have arrested more if they were trying to stop help getting to Gaza? The fact that only one was arrested suggests that there may have been a reason for the arrest. Or maybe that's just what they want folk to believe...
