I'm not suggesting that Nedved isn't important. It's just that Amauri is the main man for us right now and so should be protected if possible.

Right now, Amauri is more important to the team that Nedved. Therefore it is more important that Amauri is in peak condition for the big games.

I would start Giovinco over Amauri rather than Nedved.

We don't have enough fit players to go resting many folk for future games. Either Del Piero or Nedved should be rested, or they could each play a half and Giovinco can switch positions.
