Would you held a hockey world cup in kongo jugnle? If not it's not really a world cup then. "World-Except-the-Middle-East Cup" is not really accurate, because as far as I know they can participate in the cup, just that their home fields are not really suitable to host it.

I think you don't get why it's sad that qatar won the bid. It's not because they are desert people or muslims, it's because how they got it. I know "western civilization" has a lot of corruption and people living there are no saints, but for how this circus was blatantly bought it is just a bit...

Like it matters. The money I mean. If they can build and afford with this money stuff that won't ever be used ever ever again (stadiums) then the money is worthless and not really a factor, too much of it really. It's like they are burning money... Oh wait, that is actually what they are doing...

Seeing how our world is corrupt and at points disgustingly in favor of money I think this might just go through. I mean there will be some documentaries how contravercial it has been and blah blah, but I'm starting to think that they won't revoke it no matter what.

For me I never said that my major problem with qatar is slave labor (which I'm against). But the way they got and how after their actions to move WC to winter they kept it. It was bribery and corruption with a big fuck you to everybody. That is my main reason why I'm against it. There are loads...

This. And only this argument should have disqualified them. If it's a winter WC,there should have been a rebidding process. Where everyobody offers winter wc, or Qatar competes with their winter WC agaisnt normal times. The way it was done now is so fucked up that it should have been stripped...
