When I go to one, I don't mind the labor time really, because the drinks to me are worth it. However it's not the type of bar I go to if I just want to go out & party. The price point on the drinks make that pretty much impossible anyway, unless I was rich.

Drinking thread, sounds like home to me. I've been going to more of those pretentious bars lately, you know the ones where they're called "mixologists" instead of "bartenders". The quality of the drinks actually make it worthwhile, too bad they tend to be full of hipsters.
