I still don't think Recoba's worth what they're paying him. If you consider Recoba as a world calss striker, he should be able to adapt even a little and contribute. And with the money they're paying him, since he's not getting any playing time as a striker, he should learn how to play midfield...

Well in comparison between Zala and Recoba, Zala is the better deal. Money-wise that is

That's why we have Zala. First of all, Zala and Recoba are of the same calibre, so why choose Recoba. Second, Zala is cheaper that's why we have him. And third, I never said he wanted to come to Juve. We have Zala, and they're only the same, so why would we want him either!?

well, zalayeta's playing for juventus because he's reasonable. he doesn't play that well, just enough. juve paid a reasonable price to have him play for us, rather than pay huge money and have as much quality as zala does, let's say like recoba. they have as much quality for me, IMHO.

Well now that you've mentioned it, it was 97/98. And yeah, most of the time that Del Piero isn't injured, he does play spectacularly. He truly is someone who you can describe mercurial . The ability to change things in an instant.

I think it was 95/96 season. Quarterfinals (i think) in the Champions League against Monaco. It was the 2nd leg. Del Piero scored a scissors kick against Barthez (when he was still there). Juve lost in that game 3-2. But they won 6-3 on aggregate i think.

It's a sciccors kick from a cross. It was spectacular! try going to www.juverulez.com and download the video in their video archive. They have most of Juve's goals starting from 95/96 season on all tournaments.

I'd say 97/98. It was an era when Juve shone all throughout Europe. And Del Piero was hammering goalkeepers with shots that found the net... Was that the year DP scored a spectacular volley against Barthez in the CL against Monaco? For me, that was one of his best goals ever...
