I havent watched Tennis in years (used to watch regularly mainly with my father before he passed), knowing the goat level legends are near their end and not aware of the new generation they should be passing the torch to much. But my sister who's really fanatic about the sport been spamming me...

I know you were playing devils advocate in your post, but you were comparing Federer's initial dominance to Tennis to Djokovis hegemony right now.

Wtf at comparing Djokovic game to Federer? Huge difference, even if Djokovic is a top top player, just not Federer or boring Nadal level of greatness. But Djokovic is not a douche whatsoever like the weirdo krauts are saying, he is competetive guy on the court, but also a fairly warm and...

I missed it, but must been big based on my little brothers overexcited text msgs, hehe. Quite a feat to defeat Roger. Hope gets to the final, and cap it against Nadal.

Mens Tennis has REALLY stepped up big time in quality IMO. The standard is insanely brilliant. So much so that it makes one go from semi-casual viewer of the big games mainly, to following this ridicolous pool of players in overall.

Its annoying seeing Roger makes so many mistakes, but big big big congrats to Del Potro for this huge win  :star:

Yeah that would be nice, some tension, but Roger has a way of not losing tiebreaks, he had tiebreaks against Söderling (twice) and Djokovic, he tends to bring his A game come tie break, with his variety of serves and movement. But yeah, Del Potro doing a "Söderling", and coming on strong latter...

This sounds bit forced, you could prolly find a quote of Agassi, commenting on how fun it is to watch the perfect tennis of Federer.

He is FAAAAAAAAAR from boring, in fact he defines the ridicolous alluring excellence of sports in general. Its just ridicolous to watch the perfection. Yes its "predictable" that he wins, and you can moan about knowing the outcome, but how about simply watch a genial master at work?

Clijsters isnt only a great tennis player, but she is simply a classy woman who is very down to earth and easy going. Hearing her press conference, its very different from your average athletes typical routine, she comes off honest and quite likeable. Regarding the current game, I really like...

Edberg was brilliant, especially at attacking the net. But his between the legs shot was saveable (defenitely was, Rogers wasnt) and not what he did best, I remember Agassi doing a better one that was more similar to Rogers. When it comes to this type of uncanny shot, Yannick Noah is the guru...

I'm feeling for Roger here, would nice win, elusive 15th grand slam, but this is getting ANNOYING. Starting see annoyance in peoples faces too :D

He usually walks over Roddick, 18-2 in overall games between them. I have seen him games he has lost, that he has played way better then he have in this game.

What a fucking game, Roger is too immobile, passive and weak with his forehand. Nerving game, looked like he was losing if Roddick breaked that game, but 2 great saves salvaged his game.
