PES is great this year though. Don't play it much, but it's seriously the best footbally game gamplay-wise I've ever seen, by far.

Dunno about Fifa 15, but the in 13 & 14 the 4-3-2-1 was the absolute king for me. Juve, if you buy a winger, is pretty much perfect for it btw. You need 3 good b2b midfielders, who can defend well (Pirlo & other pure playmakers are useless though), as well as two at least semi-fast wingers...

Is the pre-contract feature still as OP as it was last year? After a few years on the last one I just signed Hazard, Coutinho and Gündogan all in one window even though I really didn't need them. Had them rot on the bench for most of the time the next season :D

Honestly the licensing doesn't really bother me, but I like carreer mode, and if player growth and transfer systems are fucked up that's a problem.

After having played a couple of games in PES as well I think their gameplay much much more realistic than FIFA, which seems extremely arcade-like. Of course this isn't necessarily a bad thing, as it's perhaps more entertaining and spectacular as well. Dribbling and shooting feels a bit smoother...

Just managed to get Fifa 15 Demo to work on my PC. First game (worldclass): 2:2, crappy equaliser by me in the 90th minute, 3 headed goals (inclduing Hazard & Mktharyan), 2 corner goals. Damn I really haven't missed it.

Well what helps is Serie A players being pretty cheap :D I could basically buy every non-IF player bar Messi/Ronaldo as well as most IFs.

I've played UT for two editions now, haven't spent a single cent and managed to get a pretty amazing team every time, the only cards I couldn't afford were TOTYs and a few IFs. I also won Season 1 a few times each year.

Pirlo at 84 is alright in my books. What's absolutely criminal is Vidal 85, Asamoah 79, Lichtsteiner 77, Barzagli 83, Buffon 82, Di Natale 78..... Seriously, just typing that irritated me massively. I'm more and more convinced they're trolling.

I'm actually at a point where I'm 99% sure that handicaps are exisiting. It's the main reason why I can win with a ~70 overall rated team against a ~85 rated team, you just notice that your passes, the players movements, and finishing, become almost perfect and free of error, while the opponent...

Tbh the most important factor of Fifa 15 is if they get the pretty powerful element of randomness and chance of 14 out of the game. Of course luck and random outcomes of certain situations are a part of the game, but in 14, I largely had the feeling that most of the times, no matter if I lost...

Yeah, but to defend effectively in real life you have to make a collective effort. I don't even think that's possible in a game where you can only really control one player.

Fifa will never be remotely realistic in terms of gameplay, simply because you mostly play it on your own, pretty much only controlling a single player, while football is a teamsport. Doesn't mean it's not fun.

I'd have no problem with the game running slowly or lagging at times, but at least the demo refuses to even start :D
