It's not a bad adjective, you dolt, it's the actual term for the way some companies operate. Should be put to the bare minimum, I agree - though it should be strong enough to counter private monopolies, speculation and predator companies.

But you do realise that those are the two only choices you have, right? So, would you rather entertain the idea of representative democracy and have the people you elect excercise control on the market, furthermore people who you - in theory - are able to hold accountable for various happenings...
