I'm not a film buff at all but I enjoyed it.

I've only just started actually watching it as I pay for a couple of others and share a couple too so it's like £18 p/m for 6 streaming apps, plus we have 4 apps for the terrestrial networks. I don't know how anyone finds time to watch this much TV. Ted Lasso as my casual watch and also Silo...

6 months of Apple TV+ seems to be thrown around with everything over here, not the same there? I've not paid for it yet and probably won't after they're up.

They unnerve me. People talking for most of the time and then they suddenly break out into song. Fuck off.

It's crap, I kind of glossed over it once. Exaggerated shock value and nothing else, like a poor cross between the Saw or Hostel movies and 70s shock horrors like I Spit On Your Grave.

Chadwick Boseman has died. Apparently he has had colon cancer for 4 years but kept it quiet. 43 years old... R. I. P.

R.I.P. Most famous of course for his film portrayal of Bilbo, he also voiced Frodo in the 1980s BBC radio adaptation. For most of his career he was a great Shakespearean actor.

So is that Kelly Gang movie any good? I saw a trailer and then looked for it screening for something to do midweek but it was never showing.

I actually don't mind Sandler's shtick, but this was too much. He shouted for the entire movie, it was stressful to watch. The story was generally sound, but he was playing a loud, NY Jew, it's not even acting for him.

A little bit surprised and disappointed that a straight, white man isn't the villain. I guess making him gay makes it less topical.

Ah right. Well yeah it's awful now, everything is dumbed down. Again, there is a big Shakespeare influence here.

Agincourt is an extremely famous battle in English history, along with the battle of Hastings, Trafalgar and Waterloo, it's one every kid learns at school. Quite a bit of Shakespearean artistic license was used with Henry's character, but this is clearly deliberate.

I call it "Hollywood English", kind of middle English that is fairly nondescript. Most of it anyway, there were the typical gruff regional accents for minor characters. You've got a Franco-American and an Aussie in the lead roles as Englishmen, and an Englishman playing a French prince. I think...

I wasn't overly impressed with Pattinson but he did have some entertaining moments. Henry V turned into Tommy Shelby about half way through. Generally good film though.

Thor Ragnarok is quite good fun actually, even if they go a bit too far with the witty baaants.
