No they can't, if they want to sell their ales at the brewery they have to open a restaurant or bar.

It's simple, alcohol is trade is controlled by the government, for home use you buy only from a dedicated liquor store. So you can only buy in such a store or from a restaurant or bar.

Nice. I envy you, not because that particular brewery is close to you but because you can buy ale from the brewery. The fucked up alcohol laws in Sweden make this impossible, I have two micro breweries very close to where I live but there is no point visiting them as we're not allowed to buy.

I don't think myself superior yet I drink mostly beer from non hug global company. That's a strange attitude, I, too, would have a problem with it.

Excellent but I still prefer US IPAs to any other IPA. I prefer the microbreweries to any ALE though.

Jura sucks anyway. My two favourites are Aberlour and Glenmorangie.

I don't analyse either and I go for like or don't like but I have a reason to like mostly I want it to stand out as something different than the others.

The Glenlivet is good but not the 10 years old because it totally lacks character. Andrew, what do you think of the Dalwhinnie? I am not a big fan, I just was never able to give it respect, it always felt like something is missing.

I just found out that it can be ordered, 500 SEK is a pretty steep price but I think I will order one. Just after I order a pair of shoes though ;)

I should give it a try but I don't think I have seen it in the stores here.
