So many misconceptions about football put together
  2. Douglas Costa - AM RL - Bayern Munich

No. Just no. To all of that. The 4-2-3-1 is very different from the 4-3-3. All the midfield roles are different. They are pretty much the main examples of opposing football ideologies. VERY different midfielders are the ones needed to make a 4-3-3 work. Of formations that are similar, the...

Exactly. None of these formations are blowing any other away on a large scale. Its just about choosing the right systems for your players.
  4. Douglas Costa - AM RL - Bayern Munich

Yes, no one plays 4-2-3-1. Its not blowing anything out of the water. Its just false. I can also say "the 2-3-1-4 completely blew the 4-3-1-2 out of the water" and it would work just as well. Because no top team in CL is playing it, just like they are not playing the 4-2-3-1. If there is a...

  7. Douglas Costa - AM RL - Bayern Munich

I cannot see Costa being a consistent (and effective) starter for us unless we 1) change to a 4-3-3 and play him on the left or 2) make Dybala even more of a midfielder in our current setup. The latter I'm not a fan of, and the first option requires us to greatly improve the midfield. Not...
