    Burqa

Nope. I don't know anyone who isn't doing an HR degree like i am though, i only go there twice a week and in the evenings. So you very rarely get to meet people outside your program.

    Burqa

I probably will. 11 years in the Arab world, one has to change the air a bit. There are quite a few Libyans in Australia, do you know any?

Most likely Wollongong. I study in an Australian university here, there is the option of transferring for a semester or two. I thought why not do the last semester down under.

Actually the post Dominic quoted has answers to most of your questions :D Anyway. Like i said before a woman not wearing a hijab is not a deterrent for me to marry her. Also, like i said before, i would try to convince her using arguments without pressuring her at all(at least i'll try not to...

    It's completely "okay".

In Saudi Arabia, they have what they call "moral police". I imagine Iran has the same.

    Burqa

I imagine that is the law, but i'm not sure how much it is actually implemented. As a muslim, i believe it is ridiculous that there are state enforced laws that force women to wear a Hijab. I personally don't see any logic in forcing a woman to wear hijab, even from an Islamic perspective...

    Burqa

Thats the burqa, the one that covers the face. That is not enforced by any law in any Arab country. In Iran and Saudi Arabia you're forced to wear a Hijab, which is a head scarf.
  15. Fred

    Burqa

Even the ones that do, not all of them believe that it is actually compulsory.
  16. Fred

    Burqa

Common mistake people make. You should know that a burqa and a hijab are two different things. It's against the law in both Saudi Arabia and Iran for a woman not to wear a Hijab, but i have never heard of a country that has laws that enforce the burqa.

Some of the more radical sects in Islam do believe that yes, mind you they are a non representative minority.
  18. Fred

    Burqa

By that same logic, you have to concede that Iran forcing women to wear hijab is not wrong either. Nobody's forced to wear a burqa.
  19. Fred

    Burqa

what kind of bullshit reasoning is that  I don't even know how to respond :D
  20. Fred

    Burqa

Thats not for you to decide. Some women believe its right, and thats why they choose to wear it.
