    That's because we showed absolutely no ambition to get runners around him to create space. The one time we did he played in Matuidi who tripped over the ball. Apart from that our tactic was long balls to him.

    Take a look at our squad. Ask yourself where are we strongest and where are we weak? Why then build your formation around your weak area (midfield) and not your strength (attack)? We have some excellent attackers in Mandzukic, Ronaldo, Dybala, Bernadeschi, even Cancelo if you want to use him...

    Simeone was brave and went attacking with his changes of Correa and Lemar. We sat on our hands and invited them on to us. You need to be brave in Europe. Excellent, he can sit on the bench with Cancelo whilst we go for more defensive options.

    Disappointing no Cancelo. Having technical players who can keep the ball under pressure/beat a man are crucial in the CL.
