I haven't followed him this season but having a technical striker playing off Vlahovic would make a huge difference to this team. We've tried to shoehorn Di Maria and Chiesa into the role and it hadn't worked. Vlahovic and Dybala were starting to build a good partnership too.

Good luck to him. Had some magnificent performances for us and I'm delighted he didn't go to Inter. His agent completely screwed him over. At 3.5m a year and our attacking options he could easily have stayed.

Especially when they have several years of football ahead of them.

It looks like the ship has sailed, it doesn't seem like there is an offer on the table for him. Whatever way you look at it he seems like he genuinely wants to stay. An agent is supposed to get the client the best deal at the club he wants. That hasn't happened which suggests he has been poorly...

Ironic that we'd be all over him on a bosman if he was at another club. I keep hearing that it is because we don't like players with injury issues but our interest in Pogba and Zaniolo, and even signing Zakaria suggests otherwise.

He's been very badly advised by his agent. He seems heartbroken to be leaving and an agent's job is to get him the best deal at the club he wants, which looks be Juventus.

Really sad to see him go. One of the few likeable players in the squad and has that unpredictability to do something out of nothing. I'm not a fan of letting good players go, especially when we lack creativity/goals. I really hope we don't regret this.

I can see both sides of it. We lost the best player in the world but signed Buffon and Nedved, which is hard to argue against.

Just about the only player who can create a chance for himself out of little, which is an important quality when the team doesn't create much. I'm really not a fan of selling our better players without bringing in quality replacements. I can't think of many times it has paid off for us other...

Really don't see the hype with Martinez at all. Never impressed me when I have seen him.

Really disappointed with the decision, we are a better team when he plays and we aren't signing anyone better. If he was a free transfer we'd be all over him, so doesn't make sense to let him leave for nothing. It also leaves us with only 1 confirmed striker next season.
