He did his job, but offers very little going forward. Allegri seemed to want more defensive solidity, but with Matuidi and Mandzukic already on that side I think it was too defensive and we should have had Alex Sandro.

Thought he was superb in the second half. He must of stopped just about every attempted cross from entering the box, really disciplined performance.

No idea why he is starting the big games in Serie A. If we want to give Alex Sandro a rest, SPAL at home was the one to go for. I thought he actually started the game ok, then had an abysmal spell at the end of the first half. Second half he was surprisingly good, he was reading situations well...

:agree: Started with a few terrible passes but did a some good things too. In particular two good interceptions in our box in the first half and looked better as the match went on.

MoM for me. The assist was superb and was a goal saving challenge on Schick in the second half. Took a couple of bad touches in dangerous areas but recovered both situations well. Never going to displace Alex Sandro but glad to see him gradually regain his form.

Good game again. That tackle in the first half was superb.

Did well, unsurprisingly looked shattered near the end and made a couple of mistakes but glad to see him getting his form back.

Decent game considering how little he has played. He is still rusty but it was encouraging. He needs games, I think he should play 90 mins on Wednesday.

Should never have started. The guy could barely play 2 games in 2 weeks last season, now he played (badly) 2 games in 3 days. Both games he was awful in the second half

Pereyra was impressive in his first season, if he can stay injury free I think he could have another good season.

Poor first half, but thought his second half overall was decent. He looked rusty and had a few nice moments followed by a few bad ones but that is to be expected given his lack of games. His yellow card looked like a bad decision. Not sure why Allegri kept him on so long, he was on a yellow...

Good game, his movement is excellent. Whether he was swapping with Alex Sandro or making a run past our forwards.

Excellent comeback. A few bad touches at the start but overall he was far better than I expected. I also liked seeing him run beyond the strikers.
