Well that's true, however perhaps Capello sees Cassetti as a better option than Zebina. Frankly I don't know. This could be just another worthless rumor or smokescreen.

I know Oddo would cost a lot more Desmond, I was just making a point. Birindelli is getting old and has not had that great of a season, so perhaps we do need to find a replacement. 3 million is not a bad price for Cassetti even though I'm not certain on his defensive ability.

Well I'm still uncertain as to whether or not Cassetti is better defensively than Zebina. I like Marco's attacking ability, certainly superior to Zebina, however if we are buying him to play RB I'm not sure about this. IMO Oddo is superior to Cassetti in the defensive aspects of the game.
