He’s always been a top 10 goalkeeper and I’ve found the criticisms of him way OTT. He has the odd clanged or two every season, pretty much like every top goalkeeper. I think he’s gotten better as he got older.

    Wojciech Szczęsny

Yeah. He’s the LEAST of our problems but has become an easy scapegoat for this teams failings. Criminally underrated.

And it came out of nowhere too. He wasn’t particularly impressive at Arsenal, was good for Roma, but reached another level with us imo.

When you’re right, you’re right. Forza Polak. Hope he extends the contract. Been solid as ever this season.

Like I said. I know Tek isn’t the best keeper in the world or anything. But he’s easily one of the best in this league. Keeping him for a couple more years on a lower salary whilst looking for our future GK for the next decade or so seems like a pretty sensible course of action imo.

You think Fiorentina and Monza have a better GK than us? No point carrying on this discussion then. You’re not a serious person.

I have no doubts Giuntoli and co are scoping out some names, but I’ve always said (his large wages aside) he’s the least of our problems right now. Seems to be a great locker room character and leader as well.

Once again he’s been pretty solid again this season. Always has a clanger or two in him during the course of a campaign, but he’s won us many points over the years too. Happy if he extends and takes a wage cut.

    Wojciech Szczęsny

He is in the kind of form this season (especially) where almost every shot on target is going in. He doesn’t inspire confidence at all anymore and really should be dropped.

Player of the tournament. His penalty save was huge in the end for Poland. Got them through to the KO round in the end. He’s been in superb form for a couple of months now.

    Brilliant saves.

    Wojciech Szczęsny

Started the season in poor form. Got injured. His replacement was often the best player on the field and put in top class performances. Returns from injury and goes straight into the lineup even though he has been in poor form. This is what happens when you pick players based on what they...

Exactly my thoughts. If it’s more than a 4 week injury, we should be immediately looking for another backup goalkeeper just in case Perin goes down.

    Wojciech Szczęsny

Until Perin gets injured It’s going to be one of those seasons again, isn’t it?

    Wojciech Szczęsny

Two top class saves. Sad that he has to make them against the worst team in the league, but that’s a problem for another day.

Grande Tek. Been one of our best and most consistent performers this season - besides those horrible first 2/3 games of the season.
  17. Bianconero_Aus

    Wojciech Szczęsny

Saved two points for us last night - let’s be honest here. Sign of a very good keeper is when they don’t have to do much all game and still pull out a top save when their team really needs it.
  18. Bianconero_Aus

    Wojciech Szczęsny

One of the form keepers in world football right now. Sensational saves again today, safe pair of hands. Hope he stays here for a long time.
  19. Bianconero_Aus

    Wojciech Szczęsny

Best keeper in Serie A. Bidonerumma wouldn’t have saved that Lozano header.

All you need to do is read some of the interviews Woj gave after coming to Italy in the difference between goalkeeper training/coaching in Italy and at Arsenal. He’s upped his game several levels since coming to Serie A.
