Middling club that sometimes has top class performances but most of the time is known for mediocrity and crushing disappointment. Sounds like the perfect club for Bentancur.

They’ll soon find out their club will have paid €26M for a midfielder who can’t score goals, can’t shoot properly, loves passing backwards and sideways, lacks dynamism and has gone backwards in development since one decent season a couple of seasons ago.

So happy he’s gone. After showing some promise in the 19/20 season, he has regressed massively and was one of the most frustrating and annoying players we had. Offered barely anything in an attacking sense, and was a bit too brainless and reckless defensively. Good riddance.

I’d assume it would be 30% of whatever money Tottenham pay us. So every time certain add-on targets are reached, Boca would get their 30% cut of that too and not just for the initial fee.

Bentancur’s barely adequate and at best acceptable season in 19/20 is on the same level as Vidal 2011-14 and Pogba of 2013-2016. Don’t sell to Tottenham and re-up contract until 2028 on €10m a season :tuttosport:

yeah the Sarri season. That’s why I said 2/3. He was barely peripheral squad player in 17/18 and in 18/19 he played a bit more but was again, behind even Emre Can in the pecking order.

He wasn’t a key member in 2/3 of those Scudetti though. He doesn’t contribute much at all especially offensively. I can count more huge fuck ups that have lead to goals against us than goals he’s scored.

Exactly this. All players can get yellow cards. The difference with Bentancur is, the majority of his yellow cards are absolutely avoidable and are made out of his boneheaded frustration at losing the ball, passing the ball straight to an opposition player than fouling him, or just because he’s...
