Is he an average player or someone who would improve our midfield? We saw how the signing of Vidal and Pirlo transform the midfield to a greater height. Can Asamoah actually improve the midfield or are we just expecting him to be a cover ?

I know his energy is high, but apart from that his stats doesn't impress in passing accuracy, shooting or ball winning. Which is the 3 main attributes of Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal. He does look rather average from the video though.

Obviously everyone knows that, what i am referring too is the perception whereby Asamoah does more defensively compared to Marchisio. However this doesn't seem to be true based on the stat. Was wondering probably Conte's highly motivating team talk might have some effect here.

Melo posted this on Vidal forum, whats interesting here is Asamoah ball winning stats is lesser compared to Marchi. And the debate here is suggesting that Asamoah can provide better defensive cover than Marchi, but it doesnt reflect so from this stat.

Wicked left leg ? His scoring record doesn't seem to show any truth to that. And how would he potentially be the best African player ? He's not even Ghana's best to begin with.
