    you're missing my point, those players that you mentioned proved that they can play on the big team, on the big stage at the highest level. although almiron had one injury-plagued year with us (which i know is an unfair assessment), he did not prove a thing.

    its not that hard to shine on a lower-tier team. think of how many players do well and then arrive to a contender and just tank. upcoming proving grounds for this season (a few that come to mind IMO): borriello amauri giovinco

    i'm still disappointed that he didn't play much this year but i would still give him a chance unless we can get good value for him. tiago on the other hand played and sucked when he did so i would push for his exit. zanetti and almiron in the middle wouldn't be a bad combo IMO

    seriously, moving players for roster claims is no reason to pick up trash. what a waste of money. approx 9M down the drain, not to mention tiago alongside it with 13M blown. blame ranieri for not using them or whatever but there is no denying that they are not big stage players.
