This. I remember when he got his chance he always played good. He was very stable and confident, even at his debut. He showed all signs of promise, letting him go would be silly, especially if we're doing that to get some crappy player (Bonera).

Diamant would be easier to get to accept bench role. Ilicic will most likely go to Roma and get more playing time. I also think he'd be a decent back. However I'm curios to see our formation next season. I don't think he'd work in 3-5-2, on Pirlo's position.

That's not really a low price for him IMO.

As long as this doesn't rule out some big name is fine. He's actually a very good player and I like him, he'd be very useful here despite of his age.
